On April 16, a meeting of the rectorate was held at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, during which Ruslan Kozovyi transferred the authority of the rector to Professor Roman Yatsyshyn.

 "I wish the team working under Roman Yatsyshyn leadership never to stop at what has been achieved," Ruslan Kozovyi noted in his opening remarks.

Roman Yatsyshyn assumed the leadership of the higher education institution and outlined the further plans for the university's work.

"The collective of the university faced difficult challenges, but together we have overcome this path. Today, we must continue to work on the development of our Alma Mater. Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University is one of the best medical educational institutions in Ukraine. We must keep pace with the times, accept the challenges of the present, and be a strong university!" Rector Roman Yatsyshyn addressed the staff.

Additionally, Roman Yatsyshyn mentioned the previous heads of the university – his teacher Yevhen Neiko; professors Mykola Rozhko, Mykola Ostrovskyi, Ruslan Kozovyi. They made significant efforts for the development and functioning of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.

"The contribution of each of these leaders to the development of the university is invaluable. We thank them. Ahead of us, there is much work to be done. Therefore, I call on everyone to fruitful cooperation!" Roman Yatsyshyn concluded.
