On January 31, a charitable event titled "Blood Donation at IFNMU" took place, organized in collaboration with the Prykarpattia Regional Blood Service Center. A total of 63 university and college staff members and students volunteered to donate blood, including Acting Rector Professor Ruslan Kozovyi.

"Our colleagues from the blood service center assist our military personnel in need of blood transfusions. Therefore, such initiatives are exceptionally important and relevant," says Ruslan Kozovyi.

Many students supported this initiative, with a significant number of them becoming donors for the first time.

"These events have become a tradition at the university. As medical professionals, we understand that blood saves lives. Blood loss is one of the main causes of death on the battlefield, so, in the absence of contraindications, we are obligated to become donors. Furthermore, such initiatives help instill a sense of responsibility in the younger generation. Medical professionals should set an example for society by being proactive blood donors," states Professor Roman Yatsyshyn, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The staff of the Prykarpattia Regional Blood Service Center urges everyone to consider blood donation. The center operates from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
