Extracurricular educational activities
The main objective of mentoring at the University is to prepare new medical intellectuals; increase the professional and cultural potential of the individual being capable to ensure high efficiency of future professionals; social experience gaining by the young generation; positive interethnic relations building; formation of self-sufficiency in young people being members of the civilized world without reference to ethnicity.
- Concept of Mentoring at the Foreign Citizens’ Training Department
The performers organizing the implementation of the concept of mentoring of the University students are:
- University Administration;
- Academic Council of the University;
- Deputy Rector in Mentoring Work;
- Department of educational and mentoring work and leisure activity of IFNMU;
- deans’ offices and departments;
- IFNMU Board of Mentors;
- special interest clubs.
Mentoring at Foreign Citizens’ Training Department is carried out in several directions:
- measures aimed at observance by foreign students of the current legislation of Ukraine and offenses prevention;
- measures to adapt foreign citizens to the learning and residency environment in Ukraine, acquaint them with the history and traditions of the Ukrainian people, promote mutual understanding between different ethnic groups, introduce healthy lifestyles into the students’ environment;
- measures to promote student self-governance development.

Student organizations together with the University administration try to take into account the students' interests and implement their initiatives. They assume some important functions in educational work and significantly help the University administration in the field of leisure as one of the effective forms of educational process, which covers a large number of students and teaching staff (ensuring the connection of generations) and takes into account the diversity of interests (intellectual games, sports events, amateur art festivals, etc.).
