More than 30 students of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University work at the checkpoints in the Precarpathian region. At the same time, they study and even take modules.

“We conducted a survey among the students, - said Pro-rector for scientific-pedagogical and medical work, Taras Kobryn. - There are quite a lot of medical students who want to work at quarantine checkpoints.”

“We measure a driver's temperature, - said sixth-year student Anastasia Nahirniak. - When the body temperature is higher than normal, we recommend to consult a doctor.”

Among drivers and their passengers there are people who complain about the lack of smell or taste and ask medical student for advice. There were also cases in which it was necessary to provide first pre-medical aid.

“One person complained of feeling bad, - said Anastasia Nahirniak. - We gave him first aid and called an ambulance."

Students of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University also find time to study while working. They listen to online lectures, ask questions and speak with other students and teachers.

Representatives of local and regional authorities are grateful to everyone who is fighting the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
