The master class on how to decorate Easter eggs took place at the library of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University on April 3rd. Medical students and lecturers of the university have participated in this event. The participants sang also Ukrainian songs and played guitar.

This event is being organized for the ninth year in our university. Master class was held by Ivanna Ravliuk,  research associate of the Museum of Arts of the Carpathians. Ukrainian Easter eggs embody a myriad of symbolism: the symbolism of the egg itself, the symbolism of design and and the symbolism of color. The scientist has told also about techniques of painting and craft ideas.

Foreign students have also participated in the master class. It is absolutely new traditions for them.  Medical students from the Middle East, India and Africa read verses about Easter and sang Ukrainian songs. Abiola, student from Nigeria said that it was a great experience. "I discover Ukrainian traditions, and it's incredible" - said the boy.
